Key talent acquisitions bolster Auburn-based Zones

Auburn-based Zones Inc., a leading national provider of technology solutions for business, health care and other vertical markets, announced a series of key technology, marketing and sales talent acquisitions that add industry veterans to its leadership ranks.

The new additions support Zones' continuing forward momentum and growth as a solutions provider serving a diverse set of technology needs.

"Zones' expanding arsenal of talent in key information technology disciplines, combined with an unmatched vendor partner roster, is a valuable strategic asset to our customers and to the Zones team that serves them," said Firoz Lalji, president and CEO of Zones. "We are in a position now where we are not only finding our customers the right technology; we are helping them solve advanced problems and managing their project life cycles. That is very exciting for our team."

Within the past year, Zones' new leadership team members include Mark Nehring, senior vice president, partner and product marketing, formerly vice president of national partner sales for HP; Jim Grass, vice president of public sector – state, local and education, formerly vice president of state and local government sales for CDW; and Anne Wilcox, the company's new chief marketing officer, formerly vice president of customer and solutions marketing for Ingram Micro.

Adding to its regional sales expertise, Zones also appointed Barbara Thomas to lead enterprise sales in the south central region.

For more than 20 years, Zones has worked collaboratively with its customers and partners, applying strategic business solutions to solve advanced information technology needs. The combination and timing of the company's talent acquisitions strengthens Zones position as a first-class and comprehensive national provider of end-to-end solutions. More than ever before, Zones is fully positioned to help customers reduce IT costs by minimizing the complexity of deploying and managing IT projects, helping them better leverage and maximize returns from technology investments.

In 2011 the company celebrated a growth milestone realizing more than $1 billion in revenue built off of growth rates at levels far outpacing the overall technology market. With the company's recent talent acquisitions and investments in its Services and Solutions capabilities, Zones is poised to continue its dynamic growth.
