For the Reporter

Auburn's Mark Papin, a team lead at FedEx Ground in Seattle, recently was honored by the company as a Purple Promise Award winner.

Of the more than 50,000 employees in the FedEx Ground and FedEx SmartPost network, Papin was among 27 recognized for far exceeding the expectations of their job responsibilities to ensure an outstanding customer experience.

Papin was recognized at a banquet in Pittsburgh, home of the FedEx Ground headquarters, on April 10.

"We are proud to recognize the outstanding efforts of our employees," said Dave Rebholz, president and CEO, FedEx Ground. "Our people are dedicated to making every FedEx experience outstanding. Every day we build on this foundation, which contributes to our continued success, as well as to our ongoing recognition as one of the most admired companies."
