Green River Community College SBAC and Raven Commercial Real Estate host workshop

Green River Community College Small Business Assistance Center hosts a two-hour workshop, Lease or Buy Commercial Real Estate, on Friday, Jan. 17 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Kent Campus, 417 Ramsay Way, Suite 112.

The objective of the workshop is to share insight as to the financial benefits, space benefits and other issues to be expected when leasing versus buying commercial real estate property.

Hosting the workshop are Chad Gleason, CCIM and Dana Beckley, partners at Raven Commercial Real Estate, a Kent-based commercial real estate firm that specializes in brokerage, development, investment and property management services.

Gleason, CCIM, is a commercial real estate and investment broker with Raven Commercial Real Estate specializing in landlord representation, tenant representation, investment analysis, purchase and sales.

Gleason is former president of the Kent Downtown Partnership, is treasurer of the Washington State Chapter of CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment member).

Beckley, partner at Raven Commercial Real Estate was formerly CFO and partner at Urban Visions, a progressive, privately held real estate development and brokerage company in Seattle.

Both will be joined by local representatives who will discuss financing terms actively offered through banks and SBA sponsored loan programs for business owners.

It is a first-come, first-served workshop for small businesses and registration is required.
