Coastal Farm & Ranch, resident raises $2,240 for Auburn Food Bank

For the Reporter

Coastal Farm & Ranch offered a $1,000 matching-donation challenge to raise money for the Auburn Food Bank. And Auburn area residents responded by donating $1,240.

"We're blown away by the generosity of the Auburn community," said Buzz Wheeler, Coastal Farm & Ranch owner. "Our hope was to raise $1,000 and then match it with another $1,000. We thank everybody for helping and we're confident the $2,240 raised will feed many, many hungry people in the local community."

All the money raised supports the local food bank. "We just sent our check to The Auburn Food Bank," said Bill Eikenbary, Coastal's local store manager. "We are very fortunate to serve such a great community and know it's our responsibility to give-back and share with those less fortunate." Coastal has been part of the Auburn community since 2011 and also operates Washington stores in Yakima, Wenatchee and Mount Vernon.
