Empty Bowls filled to fight hunger, help food bank | PHOTOS

The community came out to fill Empty Bowls and support the Auburn Food Bank on Friday.

People shopped for bowls and had them filled for lunch in the main hall at Grace Community Church.

Local artists, businesses and restaurants came together to help Auburn’s hungry. A $20 suggested donation included a handcrafted pottery or wooden bowl made by local artisans to keep, with lunch provided by Auburn-area restaurants and schools.

The Empty Bowls project is an international grassroots effort to raise money and awareness in the fight to end hunger.
