Fundraising drive organized to help buy a new truck for the Soup Ladies

Donations taken at GoFundMe page

When the mudslides hit Oso, the Soup Ladies, led by Ginger “Mama” Passarelli, were there to take care of the first-responders. When Firefighters were risking their lives fighting against forest fires from Canada to California, the Soup Ladies were keeping their stomachs filled.

When disaster strikes, Soup Ladies rally, mobilize and support police, firefighters, military and other first-responders wherever they are needed.

And now they need help to continue their mission.

Maple Valley Rotary has organized a campaign to raise money to fund a new 4-wheel drive truck for the Soup Ladies. A new truck is vital to their ability to get where they need to go in order to serve those who put themselves in harm’s way.

Soup Ladies have been featured on Mike Rowe’s Facebook series, “Returning the Favor.” Rowe and crew came to Washington to learn about the work done by the Soup Ladies.

Passarelli. from Black Diamond, founded the nonprofit organization, fueled by the tireless efforts of more than 40 compassionate and kitchen savvy volunteer women.
