Tiny homes are big, pools and spas are now digital and the smart home is now the smartphone home – and more – when the Seattle Home Show, one of the nation’s oldest and largest home shows in the country, opens its doors Saturday through Feb. 26 at the CenturyLink Field Event Center, 1000 Occidental Ave., Seattle.
Hours are Saturday and Sundays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Monday through Friday, noon to 6 p.m.
Imagine swim spas you can control from your smartphone. Or “smart” house fixtures that let you control all the systems in your home, no matter what room you are in. Think “tiny” in homes, with tiny houses of all types, from classic country homes to tiny houses on wheels. These are just a few of the new things Northwesterners can see at this year’s show.
More than 500 exhibits, from the latest in digital technology to interior and exterior design, will be on display in a single location.
“Whether you are looking for products and services for the interior or exterior of your home, Seattle Home Show is virtually a one-stop shopping location for almost everything for the home, from the leading design and building professionals”, said Mike Kalian, managing director of the Seattle Home Show.
Celebrities will be at this year’s Seattle Home Show as well, including Jason Cameron of the DIY Network and celebrity appraiser Dr. Lori of the treasure hunting TV show on the History channel “The Curse of Oak Island”. Cameron will meet with the public on Saturday, and Dr. Lori will provide free art and antique appraisals to show visitors on Monday and Tuesday.
Among the features at this year’s Seattle Home Show are:
• Tiny homes of all types, including a drawing for a tiny home from Carriage Houses Northwest valued at $27,900
• “Swim For Habitat for Humanity”, an onsite fundraiser for affordable housing
• Free antique, art and collectibles appraisals by celebrity appraiser Dr. Lori (February 20 and 21st only)
• Outdoor Living and Wine & Food Garden, designed by London Design Build and presented by Sleep Number, featuring a variety of landscaping vignettes, and featuring Jason Cameron of the DIY Network on opening day (Saturday) discussing ForeverLawn Synthetic Grass. This popular area is also the home of the new Wine & Food Garden featuring wine tastings by Chateau Ste. Michelle and small plate cooking demonstrations by local chefs including Michael Johnson, Ethan Stowell, John Howie, Josh Henderson and Chateau Ste. Michelle Chef Janet Hedstrom. The outdoor living area will feature live music daily.
• The smartphone home and smart home fixtures that let you control the home’s systems anywhere you are in the home, without the need to take out your smartphone, tablet or other mobile device
• Digital pools and spas
• Game room products, especially those that can do double duty as furniture

Parking
Parking is available at CenturyLink Field Event Center Parking Garage CenturyLink Field North Lot and Safeco Field Garage. Vehicles with four or more occupants can take advantage of “Four or More Park Free™” in designated lots courtesy of RSVP. Park for $5.00 with E-ticket purchase.
Toyota Test Drive and free admission.
Visit the Toyota Test Drive area located near the ticket kiosk on Occidental Avenue South during the show and test drive a Toyota from your Western Washington Toyota Dealers and receive two free admissions to the Seattle Home Show
Admission is $13 for adults, $9 for seniors (60 and older), $3 for Juniors (7-15) and under 7 are free.
E-tickets are available for purchase at SeattleHomeShow.com and E-ticket purchasers receive $5 parking for Seattle Home Show at CenturyLink Field Parking Garage and Safeco Field Parking Garage.
Show visitors can register to return a second day for free. ID required.
