Auburn's Relay for Life committee needs volunteers, leaders

Auburn's Relay for Life needs help.

Organizers are seeking individuals to fill positions on the event's committee. The group will kick off efforts with a committee meeting from 6-7 p.m. Feb. 9 at Messiah Lutheran Church, located at 410 H St. NE, Auburn.

The Relay For Life will run from 6 p.m. May 13 to noon May 14 at Auburn Memorial Stadium, 801 4th St. NE.

According to Ashley Thordarson, media relations chairperson for the relay, the committee needs a sponsor, event and lumeunria chairperson.

"We also would like to make it known to the Auburn community that we appreciate what they do each month to support cancer research," Thordarson said.
