In addition, VFW Post 1741 is promoting its National VFW recognized program, Flags for Food Banks, in the community. Post 1741 provides a free three-by-five-foot American flag to replace worn and tattered flags in the community it serves. In return, the Post asks those receiving a flag to make a donation to the food bank of their choice.

If the public sees a worn or tattered American flag in their community, please contact Post 1741 at 253-293-5839, email vfw1741.com.

The Post meets at 1525 A St. NE, Suite 107, Auburn, on the fourth Tuesday of each month with complimentary dinner and refreshments at 6:30 p.m. followed by meeting at 7:30.
