Auburn VFW Post 1741 installs officers

The Auburn VFW Post 1741 recently installed its 2011-2012 officers.
Installed were: Bill Peloza (commander); Tony Dohse (senior vice commander); Mike Sepal (junior vice commander); Jon Quackenbush (quartermaster); Jack Anderson (chaplain); and Jesse Jose (surgeon).
The trustees are Ken Robinson (one year); Cam Cutler (two year) and Don Cochran (three year). Commander appointed positions include: Paul Fison (adjutant); Dan Heid (judge advocate); Chris Beverly (officer OTD); Ernie Londino (service officer) Chuck Lindberg (guard); John Pepper (membership) and Bob Newman (historian).
In addition, VFW Post 1741 is promoting its National VFW recognized program, Flags for Food Banks, in the community. Post 1741 provides a free three-by-five-foot American flag to replace worn and tattered flags in the community it serves. In return, the Post asks those receiving a flag to make a donation to the food bank of their choice.

The Post meets at 1525 A St. NE, Suite 107, Auburn, on the fourth Tuesday of each month with complimentary dinner and refreshments at 6:30 p.m. followed by meeting at 7:30.
