Auburn Mountainview High senior wins essay contest

Corbin Poppe, a senior at Auburn Mountainview High School, captured first place in the Eastside Republican Club Scholarship Essay Program.
Corbin's essay addressed the question, Why do free markets work? What should the President do to spur economic growth?
Corbin will receive a $1,000 scholarship on May 1 at the Eastside Republican Club's monthly meeting at the VFW Post 2995 conference hall in Redmond.
Corbin plans to attend Washington State University in the fall.
The winning essays are posted on the Eastside Republican Club website.
