Rainier Youth Choirs announce auditions

November 5, 2012 · 3:31 PM

Singers, fourth grade through college, can audition for January enrollment in one of three premier Rainier Youth Choirs in November and December.

Auditions are informal and held in private.

Rehearsals are weekly at Cedar Heights Middle School in Covington.

To schedule an audition contact RYC at 253-347-0180 or ryc@rainierchoralarts.org.

The RYC winter concert, The Heavens are Singing, is 3 p.m. Dec. 15 at First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 19800 108th Ave. SE, Kent. A food drive for the Kent Food Bank will be held in conjunction with the concert.

RYC concert choir members also will appear again this year as Argosy's Christmas Ship main entertainment Dec. 5.

Singers enrolled by January can perform in the spring concert, Earth Wind and Fire, on March 23 and the summer concert, Birds, Bees, Flowers, and Trees, on June 2– both held at Kent United Methodist Church.

RYC is an affordable, nonprofit, family-friendly choral training organization with no religious affiliation.
