Auburn Police Officers Association sponsors Shop with a Cop

December 3, 2012 · 11:20 AM

The Auburn Police Officers Association (APOA) sponsors the second annual Shop with a Cop event from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Walmart supercenter, 762 Supermall Way, Auburn.

Each of the 22 Auburn schools selected a child or family in need. Each child will be given $100 to spend on themself and their family while they shop with an Auburn Police officer.

The child then has lunch with the officer at Subway.

The APOA kicked in $1,200.00, Walmart donated $1,000 and Subway gave lunch certificates.

The APOA would like to thank Walmart and Subway for their generosity.

The APOA is a nonprofit organization and funds are donated by most personnel at the Auburn Police Department.
