Thanks to an unprecedented amount of community support, AAA's Soap for Hope donation drive recently collected and distributed an all-time record 126,646 toiletry items to charitable organizations throughout the state and northern Idaho.

This represents a 21-percent increase compared to last year's collection of 105,079 items.

The Renton AAA office alone collected more than 7,230 toiletry items. All items collected at the Renton office were donated to the Auburn Food Bank and St. Vincent De Paul.

"We would like to thank our members and community partners for their generous gifts," said Susan Brahm, manager of AAA's office in Renton. "Every year we are overwhelmed by their outpouring of support."
