Beyond High School Night set for on Feb. 7.

The Auburn School District invites students, parents and the public to Beyond High School Night on Feb. 7.

The event, which runs 6 to 8 p.m. at Auburn Mountainview High School, 28900 124th Ave. SE, helps those explore options available to students after high school.

Students in grades 8-12 are invited.

The evening includes a benefit spaghetti dinner from 5:30-7 p.m. in the school commons. Cost is $5, with proceeds supporting the Tanzanian Orphans.

In addition, there will be workshops and a college and career fair. More than 60 second- and four-year colleges will be represented.

Workshops include:

  • How to prepare for the cost of college.
  • The admission process of highly selective colleges.
  • College athletics, NCAA
  • Professional, technical degrees
  • The new, hot degrees in today's job market.
  • College essay tips.
  • Selecting the college that is right for you.

There also will be FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) completion help for senior students.
