Auburn Valley YMCA to hold day for dogs

This Auburn Valley YMCA family event is going to the dogs.

The public is invited Saturday, from 10 a.m. to noon, for games, contests and prizes for families and their canine companions.

Classes include dog first aid, obedience, agility, grooming and behavior basics/questions and answers. Contests will include best trick and best costume.

Dogs must be family friendly and on a leash. All ages are welcome at this free community event.

Special guests and participants include Argus Ranch and Family Dog Training Center. Also, pet photographer Laura Marie will be on site for families who wish to order pictures.

The first 20 families will receive dog prizes.

Register by calling the YMCA at 253-833-2770.

YMCA joining fees will be waived for DogVenture Day participants on Saturday and Sunday.

The YMCA is located at 1620 Perimeter Road SW, Auburn.
