Auburn presents Memorial Day ceremonies

A special Memorial Day ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. Monday in the flag plaza at Mountain View Cemetery, 2020 Mountain View Drive, Auburn.

The public is invited.

The cemetery will display many American flags on the grounds and at each veteran's grave site decorated with a small flag donated by Auburn's VFW Post 1741.

The cemetery also is offering special office hours during the Memorial Day weekend to assist families. Office hours will be 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday; 12-4 p.m. Sunday, and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

In addition, a Memorial Day Veterans Remembrance Ceremony begins at 11 a.m. Monday at the William C. Warren Building, Veterans Memorial Park, 405 E. St. NE, Auburn.

American Legion Post 78, VFW Post 1741 and the Inter-Tribal Warrior Society are performing the ceremony. The public is invited.
