Koehler shines at modeling

Auburn’s Alberta Mae Koehler was one of the winners in Macy’s Better With Time model competition, ranging in age from 50 to 89.

Koehler, 67, was one of 15 finalists chosen from among 100 semifinalists who walked the runway for a panel of local judges on Aug. 23.

In addition to their essays, they were judged on stage presence, personal enthusiasm and confidence.

Finalists were awarded a $100 Macy’s gift card and flowers. Additionally, they will receive model training from TCM, fashion fittings for the show and a model makeover with hair and makeup prior to the fashion show on Oct. 4.
