Keeping comfortable with their new afghans are, from the left, residents Velma Stoller, Al Sortun and Alan Klavonos. The afghans were given to 30 of the residents of Parkside East Retirement Center by the ALOHA group (Active Lives for Older Healthy Adults) from the Auburn Valley YMCA. The Auburn Kiwanis also were sponsors of the event. The ALOHA group made 50 afghans in the past year and gave Children’s Orthopedic 20 afghans.
