Promiseland Christian Learning Center, a longtime Auburn institution for early child development, will host its second annual Family Fun Day on Saturday.

A day filled with activities will run from 1-3 p.m. on campus at 2234 K Street SE. There will be a live and silent auction, garage sale, raffle, a free barbecue, live music, bounce house, face painting, crafts and other fun.

Mayor Pete Lewis is expected to appear.

The public is welcome.

Proceeds will go toward renovating the playground and purchasing playground and sports equipment.

Promiseland – a Christian-emphasized, family-supported, Montessori/traditional blend program – is celebrating the completion of its second year of operation at its new and expanding center.

Director Diane Simons, in her seventh year at Promiseland, secured a half-acre of property behind Pioneer Elementary School on K Street Southeast as the center’s new home.

The center continues to grow to meet the needs of its children.
