HCC's MaST Center to hold open house

Highline Community College’s Marine Science & Technology Center is hosting a holiday open house Dec. 8.

The open house will run from 7:30-9:30 p.m. at the (MaST) Center, 28203 Redondo Beach Drive S., Des Moines. Admission is free.

Visitors can check out the center's aquarium and aquatic life while awaiting the arrival of the Argosy Christmas Ship Festival at Redondo Beach. The festival includes decorated ships and a performance by the Dickens Carolers. Hot drinks and snacks will be provided.

The Argosy Christmas Ship will be at Redondo Beach between 8:50-9:10 p.m.

More than 400 people attended last year’s event.
