Pacific Partnerships is holding its third annual Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony at 5 p.m., Friday, Nov. 27, in front of Pacific City Hall, 100 3rd Ave. SE.

The event begins with a short program, caroling, cookies, hot cocoa and cider. The countdown for the tree lighting begins at 5:30 p.m. on the lawn in front of City Hall.

Along with lights on the big tree, City Hall and neighboring businesses will light up the streets as well.

A raffle ticket will be given to each person who brings a can of food for the local Food Bank. Raffle prizes will be given away.

Hot chocolate and cookies are compliments of the Pacific Algona Community Center.

Santa will appear to have pictures taken with kids and families.
