Auburn Riverside senior Elise Jones, Emily Starkel and Megan McCabe recently took second place in the Washington State University Imagine Tomorrow Engineering contest in Pullman.

The trio from the school's drafting class was awarded $6,000 prize for their performance in the design category.

The annual energy competition was open to Washington high school students.
