The Maple Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra invites the public to celebrate fall with its first concert of the season entitled Magic and Mystery.

The 7 p.m. concert on Nov. 9 at the Maple Valley Presbyterian Church, 22659 Sweeney Road SE, features magician Tim Flynn. The musical selections celebrate the magical and mysterious side of music.

The concert features the music of Dukas, Mozart and more. MVYSO's Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, String Sinfonietta, Flute Choir and its newest group, Jr. Symphony, will perform.

"The students have been looking forward to this concert," said Elisa Lewis, MVYSO executive director. "The music is fun, and they get to wear costumes."

A $5 suggested donation per person will be accepted at the door.
