Michael Tomlinson fills the Auburn Avenue Theater with his soft crooning tunes at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 9.
Coming off the release of his 13th album, Tomlinson bring more than 20 years of music and heart-felt stories to the stage. The singer-songwriter wants the audience to leave his concerts with a new view of the world.
His most recent none-holiday album took hime across the U.S. and Europe to bring his fans the best in heartfelt folk, pop, jazz and rock.
Tomlinson's career began in the mid-'80s when he found himself in the rare position of being an aspiring singer/songwriter having a No. 1 hit ... before he had ever even released a record. A homemade cassette of his song, "The Climb", had been given to a manager of popular Seattle radio station, KEZX, where it would go on to be one of the most requested songs in the station's history.
After moving to Seattle to embrace his fan base, Tomlinson began his own record label, Desert Rain, and produced his first album, Run This Way Forever.
For his second and third albums, he signed on with an emerging LA label and scored a top 10 adult contemporary hit. From there, wanting to return to his less commercial roots, Tomlinson returned to Desert Rain and Seattle where he continues to write, produce and perform his growing collection of work.
