Jimi Hendrix Tribute lands at the Auburn Ave Theater on Nov. 23
For the Reporter
Randy Hansen's Jimi Hendrix Tribute comes to the Auburn Avenue Theater at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23.
Successful through his own original works, Hansen also has performed with numerous other well known artists over the span of his 30-plus-year career. Such original music has even appeared in the 1979 film, "Apocalypse Now", and spans his extensive discography. Hansen has dedicated himself to be considered one of the best Hendrix impersonators world-wide, teaching himself many of Hendrix's signature moves and style.
Hendrix, a Seattle native, found his calling at an early age playing the guitar wherever he could. After being discharged from the Army, he moved to Tennessee and began his professional career by forming a band called the King Kasuals. Hendrix would go on to front several more musical groups and gain international fame for his style and playing abilities.
