Auburn Avenue Kids presents Roald Dahl's zany musical tale of Willy Wonka for three performances at the Auburn Avenue Theater this weekend.

Show times for "Willy Wonka Jr." are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with a 2 o'clock matinee Saturday at the historic theater, 10 Auburn Ave.

Kids participating in the Ave Kids Theater program will preform the tale of Willy Wonka and his challenge to the children who love his chocolate.

Join Willy Wonka and his staff of Oompa Loompas as they lead ticket winners Charlie, the gluttonous Augustus Gloop, gum-chewing Violet Beauregarde, television junkie Mike Teevee and spoiled-rotten Veruca Salt through a maze of chocolate rivers, life-lessons and laughs.

Tickets are $8. To order, call 253-931-3043 or visit www.auburnwa.gov/arts.
