Auburn artist's creations part of 'Nature's Treasures'

The Macy's Gallery, in conjunction with Women Painters of Washington, has mounted a new exhibition featuring the work of Auburn artist Elizabeth Kay, titled “Nature's Treasures.”
Kay's fresh style and mastered technique of watercolor and sumi (ink) are reflected in her many award-winning paintings. The flow of ink and subtleties of color vibrate as the brush is stroked on the translucent papers. Her work appears to come alive with this uniquely spirited technique.
The gallery, located at 1601 3rd Ave., Seattle, will be open Sept. 2-Oct. 30. Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday-Wednesday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Thursday-Saturday; and 11 a.m.-7 p.m., Sunday.
The exhibit is free and open to the public.
