More laughs at the 'Ave'

The Auburn Avenue Theater will host the next round of standup contestants, part of the ongoing 30th annual Seattle International Comedy Competition.

The curtains will open at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the historic theater, 10 Auburn Ave.

The Ave is one of several venues in the region to host the SICC festival. The first group of 16 contestants competed last Saturday.

Each of the 16 contestants will perform five minutes each.

Comedy at The Ave is not recommended for those under 18 years of age.

Tickets are $19, $17 for students and seniors. Call the Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation Department at 253-931-3043 during business hours (8 a.m.-5 p.m.), Monday-Friday; or visit www.brownpapertickets.com/event/80748 to order tickets.
