Auburn Symphony Orchestra presents “The World of César Franck” for two performances, Feb. 20-21, at the Auburn Performing Arts Center, 700 E. Main St.

The orchestra, under conductor Stewart Kershaw, is paying tribute to Franck, a widely-admired French composer who is one of the finest orchestral craftsmen of the 19th century.

Seattle piano soloist Mark Salman will do justice to Franck’s symphonic variations for piano and orchestra. This is Salman’s second appearance with the symphony. He has been hailed by Seattle’s The Stranger as a “heroic virtuoso.”

Classical King FM will be broadcasting Sunday’s performance live from APAC.

ASO will perform at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 20 and 2:30 p.m. Feb.21. A free, 45-minute pre-concert lecture will be held prior to each performance.

Tickets are available now. Reserved seats are $25 for adults, $20 for students and seniors. They can be ordered by calling 253-887-7777 or purchased online at auburnsymphony.org.
