Blotter brings some levity

I do not think that the Auburn Reporter Police Blotter is out of line in any way.

I do not think that the Auburn Reporter Police Blotter is out of line in any way.

I, for one, know that if I want to read the doom and gloom that is our current media standard, I can switch on the evening news or read the front page for serious crimes in the Auburn Reporter.

I will not pretend to know the writer’s intentions, but I can say that crime will happen regardless of our wants. That being said, I do not wish or will anyone to be a victim of a crime, no matter how seemingly innocuous it may appear.

However, maybe, just maybe this particular writer is trying to find the humor in the everyday choices and happenstance that may occur, especially at the criminal’s expense.

I, for one, get a laugh out of the blotter and hope that what is a unique token of reporting does not change. Reporting on a story and adding a personal flair should be celebrated, not admonished.

Maybe someone needs a course in not taking things too seriously and a lesson in finding humor in life.
