Chivalry is alive and well in Auburn

My car was hung up, literally, at the Auburn Post Office on a recent Friday. I was in a state of shock and embarrassed, but a gentleman, Mark, was there and stopped to check on me and thought to inquire about AAA membership. I said yes, and he offered to call for help on his cellphone.

While he was on hold, three kind Auburn Police officers stopped to make sure I was all right and offered a plan of action. They called their tow truck, which came must faster than AAA.

I was concerned about the undercarriage of my car. An officer got under the car to check and reassured me that all was well. It was truly wonderful news.

Auburn is indeed a very caring community.

On a side note, I am very proud to say my grandson, Kyle Orsini, is a new member of the Explorers program with the Auburn Police Department.
