Go with a confident pro in Backus

I have reached out to mayoral candidate Largo Wales on several occasions, via her Facebook page and her website. I had about five questions regarding her position on matters she had presented in her postcards and ads.

I was respectful in my questions and was in fact looking for verification of facts to share it with those on the Facebook page. She has refused to answer any of them.

So I reviewed the list of endorsers to see if anyone who was endorsing her could help with the questions. I found a significant number of people on her endorsed list who do not live in Auburn and who in fact have not endorsed her.

In contrast, each and every time I have reached out to Mayor Nancy Backus regarding a question or a concern, I have always received a response and in a timely fashion. I want the mayor of my town to be forthcoming to the citizens, to continue to provide safe neighborhoods, to continue to provide a safe library to visit, to continue to make our parks clean and safe and that person can only be Mayor Nancy Backus.

Nancy has made positive things happen downtown, is trying along with the City Council to provide adequate mental health treatment and continues to look for funding to make our roads and sidewalks safe. I encourage each of you to go watch Channel 21 and see for yourself who is the most organized and professional as a leader of our community.

Vote for Backus in November.
