Wales will move Auburn forward

Working as the lead school nurse for the Auburn School District for 29 years, I had the good fortune of having Largo Wales as my supervisor for many years. During that time I witnessed first hand Largo’s unbelievable work ethic, tenacity and ability to solve problems, taking into account all sides of the issue.

She is loyal and definitely a unifier, not a divider.

The simple fact that five out of seven City Council members support her says volumes.

Largo is a passionate supporter of all things Auburn as is evidenced by her long list of community service positions.

It saddens me to see false statements about Largo when I know her so well. She absolutely does not support a sanctuary city status and is not for safe injection sites.

In addition, Largo was a member of the PTA for about 15 years and supports its valuable educational and community mission.

Our family is totally vested in Auburn as my husband has lived here his entire life, and having raised our three daughters here and now our young grandchildren beginning school in Auburn, it is troubling to see the decline of the Auburn downtown core.

What happened to the vitality of our small businesses?

I believe Largo is the “shot in the arm” that Auburn needs to revitalize our beloved city. She definitely has the education, energetic drive and qualifications to move Auburn forward.
