The Auburn Symphony Orchestra performs Romantic Brothers, an intimate chamber music experience, at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 31, at St. Matthew/San Mateo Episcopal Church, 123 L St. NE, Auburn.

Get up close and personal with the musicians as they perform works by Felix Mendelssohn and Johannes Brahms, both known for their soaring romantic melodies with waves of magical phrases.

Mendelssohn’s String Quartet features the second movement Canzonetta, so popular it is sometimes played as an independent work. Brahms’ String Sextet features an additional viola and cello complementing the typical quartet ensemble.

The concert features Emilie Choi and Ingrid Fredrickson (violins), Joyce Ramee and Mike Watson (violas) and Brian Wharton and Andrea Chandler (cellos).

Parking is free. Light refreshments and coffee will be served during intermission, by donation.

Tickets are $20 for general admission and $10 for students.

Call 253-887-7777 or purchase at auburnsymphony.org by noon March 29.

Tickets will also be available at the door beginning at 3:30 p.m.
