The Auburn Symphony Orchestra presents The Planets: A Multimedia Extravaganza at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 29, at the Auburn Performing Arts Center 702 Fourth St. NE.

In this special multimedia presentation of The Planets, guest conductor Anthony Spain and Seattle-based artist Adrian Wyard, who will provide live visual accompaniment, join the orchestra.

Wyard’s visuals for this event include dazzling NASA images for each planet. All of the photos, animations and videos are based on truth and incorporate real space imagery. Choreographed live, the visuals follow the emotional journey of the symphony’s music performance, matching it beat by beat and providing a dramatic and immersive experience that guarantees fun for all ages.

A preview video here shows just a small example of what one can expect at this concert.

Reserved seats, priced at $37 general, $30 seniors, $10 students, are available in advance at auburnsymphony.org, by phone at 253-887-7777, or at the door. The box office opens 60 minutes prior to the concert and the house opens 30 minutes prior.

A free pre-concert lecture begins at 1:45 p.m., hosted by Anthony Spain and Dave Beck.

The concert is sponsored in part by the City of Auburn and the Washington State Arts Commission.
