Jeff Smith, above, gets up close to talk to a pair of parrots in Parrot Hall during the Seattle Parrot Expo, The Rainforest Returns, at the Auburn Community and Event Center last Saturday.

Dedicated to all things parrot related, the expo offered a series of presentations; a live bird area; a bird photo area; balloon artists; face painters, parrot-related arts and crafts; and parrot games.

Proceeds from the event supported the Flight Club Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on improving parrot welfare and supporting conservation and research.
