Want to run a 5K or just get in the groove to run?

The City of Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation Department is providing coaching and then some in this supportive small group program.

Join the Sofa Zero to 5K Hero, and in eight weeks we’ll give you all the tools you need to go from walking to running. No experience necessary. Fee includes a 5K Hero T-shirt.

Dress in weather appropriate exercise attire. Wear comfortable shoes for running and bring a water bottle. This is a rain-or-shine activity at the Auburn Community & Event Center and around Les Gove Park, 910 Ninth St. SE.

The program – for ages 10 and up – is available Saturdays, March 17 to April 5, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

Cost is $25 for Auburn residents, $32 for non-residents.
