About the poets

Schein is a writer, historian and founder of LiTFUSE Poets’ Workshop. His work has been supported by 4Culture & Humanities Washington, and nominated for the Pushcart 3x. He lives in the woods near Carnation.

Crane resides in the Cascade foothills east of Seattle. A regular at venues in the Puget Sound region, she has read her poetry from Woodstock to Los Angeles. Her books are “At First Light” (2011) and “What I Can Hold in My Hands” (2009), both from Gazoobi Tales.

Latterell is busy in Seattle as attorney, poet and food writer. Her play Intersection: a spoken word opera was performed at Hugo House and her poems appeared in About Place and Fault Lines among other journals. She is past president of the Washington Poets Association, and attended the very first LiTFUSE with much enthusiasm.

Evans lives in Seattle with a Jack Russell terrier and many friends and relatives. Gobsmacked by words at an early age and still trying to understand how best to use them. In love with travel, LiTFUSE and life.

Stangeland fell in love with LiTFUSE immediately and looks forward to it each year – once as a teacher and always as a student. Stangeland is the author of “In Both Hands”, “Into the Rumored Spring” and two chapbooks. Her poems have appeared in Superstition Review, Hubbub and other journals.

Poetry at the Rainbow Café is made possible through the efforts of the restaurant; the Striped Water Poets; The NorthWest Renaissance; Auburn Arts Commission; City of Auburn; and King County 4Culture.
