The first in a series of Summer Cruise-ins comes to the former Big Daddy’s Drive Inn site Thursday at Les Gove Park, near the corner of 12th Street Southeast and Auburn Way South,
Solid Rock Cruisers, event coordinators, will be on site rain or shine from 4 to 7:30 p.m.
Additional Thursday Summer Cruise-ins are set for July 20, Aug. 17 and a to-be-determined day in September.
The event is free for the whole family – complete with music, classic hot rod cars and food available for purchase.
Solid Rock Cruisers will also be accepting non-perishable donations for the Auburn Food Bank each month.
Car show participants must enter the event site from 12th Street SE and J Street SE.

There will be additional car shows at Les Gove Park as part of Auburn’s Fourth of July event on Tuesday, July 4 and AuburnFest on Saturday, Aug. 12.
Car show pre-registration for both events is $10 and day-of-event registration is $15.
Each event allows for antique, classic, hot rods, street rods, muscle cars and other unique cars. There are awards in 15 categories and free dash plaque to first 100 registrants.
