The Auburn Valley YMCA is providing free help to anyone interested in quitting tobacco.

Through a grant from the Muckleshoot Tribe and partnership with Auburn Regional Medical Center, the Y is now offering two weekly support groups:

• Mondays, 5:30-6:30 p.m., Auburn Valley YMCA, 1620 Perimeter Road SW. Free childcare available.

• Wednesdays, 6-7 p.m., Auburn Regional Medical Center, Plaza One, 202 N. Division St.

In addition, there is a free Accelerate Your Quit Workshop from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at the YMCA. The three-hour workshop provides techniques and support needed to quit smoking.

Participants will be given a free three-visit guest pass to the YMCA each time they attend a group, and a three-month guest pass when attending the workshop. Snacks and refreshments are provided at the events.

To register, please contact Heidi Henson, Living Tobacco-Free program coordinator, at 253-223-7538 or hhenson@seattleymca.org.
