Longtime friends and original members of Auburn's "swim and trim" girls group gathered at Vickie Vallier's south Auburn home for a 33-year reunion luncheon on Monday.

The ladies have stayed in touch over the years, volunteering their time in the community and taking turns looking out for each other.

The group originally met at the Auburn swimming pool in 1978, and many still exercise regularly today.
