The body found in the Green River on Friday was identified by the Medical Examiner's Office today as Leah McHugo of Auburn. She was 84 years old.

The body was seen in the river about 12:30 p.m. by a woman walking along the shoreline at about South 277th and Green River Road South. The woman said she could see a body about mid-channel and floating with the current, authorities said.

The Sheriff's Office Marine Unit and Guardian One responded.

The woman was pulled from the river about two hours later. She had been living in an assisted living center in north Auburn.

There was no evidence of foul play, the Sheriff's Office said.
