No one was injured in a fire that threatened two mobile homes in south Auburn. VRFA firefighters quickly put out the fire. Heavy fire damage was contained to a shed, trees and vehicle.

Valley Regional Fire Authority Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire that threatened two mobile homes at the Tall Cedars Mobile Park, 401 37th St. SE in south Auburn on Thursday afternoon.

A bicyclist witnessed the fire and called 911 shortly after 2 p.m. When VRFA crews arrived, they found a row of Juniper trees, a shed and a vehicle on fire with flames threatening two nearby mobile homes.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and protect the mobile homes from damage. Fortunately, no one was at home in either of the threatened residences.

The shed, trees and vehicle sustained heavy fire damage.
