A single-car collision in south Auburn early Saturday morning killed one passenger and sent three others to Harborview Medical Center seriously injured.

Firefighters from the Valley Regional Fire Authority and King County Paramedics were dispatched at 3:50 a.m. to the 3000 block of R Street Southeast for a single-car collision.  VRFA units arrived and observed a single car that had collided with the R Street bridge structure.

Crews extricated all four patients from the vehicle, three were transported to the hospital, and one was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Auburn Police Department.
