Debbie Luce appointed vice president of the Association of Vistor Information Centers of Washington

Debbie Luce, tourism director for the Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce, has been appointed vice president of the Association of Visitor Information Centers of Washington.

Luce, a AVICW board member, has been with the Chamber for four years.

Luce will work closely with other AVICW leaders to provide educational seminars, workshops, conferences and materials to enhance productivity of visitor information centers, as well as promote the tourism industry throughout the state.

The vice president position is a volunteer position.

The AVICW, which attracted 90 members to its main conference last spring, is comprised of representatives from visitor information centers, chambers of commerces, visitor and convention bureaus, lodging establishments and businesses interested in  state tourism promotion.
