March 12

Purse theft: 7:22 p.m., 4100 block of A Street Southeast. A woman left her purse in a restroom and somebody came along and swiped it.

March 13

Burglary: Overnight, 700 block of 6th Street Northwest. A trucking company reported a burglary of, well, something or other sometime over the weekend.

Burglary: Overnight, 101 Lund Road. Burglars entered a fenced yard and storage building and stole tools from Boilermasters, Inc. Police did not disclose the value of the missing items.

Trespassing: 4:49 p.m., 2117 Auburn Way S. A man learned, too late, that police take a dim view of trespassing and possessing marijuana at the Muckleshoot Bingo Hall.

Theft: 5 p.m., 1620 Perimeter Road Southwest. A thief broke into lockers and stole items undisclosed at the YMCA.

March 14

Shoplifting: 1:22 p.m., 1347 Auburn Way N. Somebody swiped beer and pretzels from the north end Albertson's grocery store. A keen-eyed witness noted the license plate on the getaway vehicle, and police used that information to locate said vehicle a short time later and bust the bad guy.

March 15

Driving under the influence: 7:11 p.m., 700 West Valley Highway South. Police arrested a female person for DUI after she collided with a telephone pole, breaking said pole.

March 16

Theft, but not for long: 2 a.m., 440 16th St. N.E. A drunken person took a car from the BB Mcgraw's parking lot without permission but soon crashed the vehicle on a road behind the bar. The blotto subject ran from the vehicle but was captured a short distance away.
