Auburn traffic advisory: Pedestrian lighting replacement on Main Street
April 5, 2012 · 12:31 PM
Work to replace pedestrian lighting along Main Street in downtown Auburn will affect parking beginning next week.
Construction is scheduled to begin on Main Street between B Street Northwest to Auburn Way South and on A Street Northwest between West Main Street and 1st Street Northwest starting Tuesday.
Construction is anticipated to last until May.
Crews will replace the teal colored pedestrian lighting along Main Street with the new standard black pedestrian LED lighting.
The replacement process will be done one light pole at a time, officials said.
During construction, on-street parking closures (two stalls per lighting replacement area) will be necessary, but local access to businesses and residents will be maintained.
