City of Auburn launches new-look website
September 20, 2012 · Updated 5:44 PM
The City of Auburn has launched a redesigned website – www.auburnwa.gov – with some new features and a fresh, user-friendly design.
The goal of the redesign was to create a user experience that is more efficient, utilizing the many tools that make doing business with the City of Auburn more convenient.
Spearheaded by the Innovation & Technology Department, the website team's primary focus was user-experience. Upon coming to the new homepage, users are greeted with a prominently displayed "I Want To ..." link that will open up a list of the most widely-used options on the site.
"The state-of-the-art website is geared toward our citizens," said Mayor Pete Lewis. "The City of Auburn strives to connect our residents and businesses to each other, their community and their City."
Another enhancement to the site is My Auburn. My Auburn is a portal that allows users the ability to customize a page of commonly used content for faster access to information. The My Auburn portal has the ability for users to track items such as event calendars, news, social media feeds, service requests and much more. The My Auburn portal will continue to be expanded to offer more options in the future.
The redesigned website is another effort in City's goals to create tools for citizens and to keep them involved in making Auburn better.
Whether citizens want to view online cameras around the city, apply for a job, report a pothole or graffiti, get access to public records data or just have a personalized Auburn website, they have the tools to do so now.
