Man seriously injured after driving vehicle into building

A 60-year-old man was seriously injured Thursday morning after apparently driving his vehicle into the Gosanko Chocolate Art building at 116 A St. SE, Auburn.

Firefighters from the Valley Regional Fire Authority responded at 9:11 a.m. to a report of a vehicle striking a building. First-arriving crews found a man his 60s trapped in a vehicle. Firefighters extricated the man and King County Medic One transported him to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries.

Auburn police is investigating the cause of the incident.

The Auburn Building Department is evaluating damage to the business.
