Attic fire displaces 5 adults in Auburn

Firefighters from the Valley Regional Fire Authority put out a house fire in Auburn this morning, displacing five adults.

There were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters.

At 11:06 a.m. the VRFA responded to a report of smoke coming from roof vents of a residence in the 300 block of Park Avenue Northeast. Firefighters evacuated one elderly female resident. Four other adults who lived in the residence also were safe and assisted by the Red Cross.

The fire was contained to the attic area.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
